Our History:

PATCO’s history spans more than eight decades of emulsifier innovation and industry leadership. Our roots trace back to the 1940s with the founding of the C.J. Patterson Company, where early research and consulting for bakeries led to breakthrough developments in lactylates and monoglycerides that helped define modern dough conditioning.

Through the following decades, the business expanded commercially and technologically through key industry pioneers, including Breddo, CSM, AIC (American Ingredients Company), and Caravan Ingredients - each contributing scale, manufacturing capability, and technical depth to the emulsifier portfolio. These milestones established PATCO Products as a trusted supplier to the North American food industry.

From 2013 to 2024, the business entered a period of transformation under Corbion, sharpening its focus on emulsifiers while strengthening technical expertise and operational discipline. In 2024, the emulsifier business was acquired by Kingswood Capital and relaunched as PATCO Products - a focused, independent company dedicated exclusively to emulsifier solutions.

Today, PATCO carries forward this legacy with renewed agility, domestic manufacturing, and a clear mission to lead the future of emulsifiers across food and adjacent markets.

What We Do Today:

Today, PATCO offers a broad portfolio of glycerides, lactylates, hydrates, esters, and processing aids. We operate two manufacturing facilities in North America, providing a reliable supply, consistent performance, and responsive service.

As the only North American company dedicated solely to emulsifiers, we have unmatched focus. Our domestically produced and agile supply chain minimizes tariff exposure while supporting dependable lead times and strong technical collaboration.
